The Itinerary
Dec. 31, 2012 - Depart Ft. Lauderdale. Ft. Lauderdale is a year-round destination where culture and cuisine are in ample supply. If you have time before the sailing, enjoy its beautiful beaches, nightclubs and superb restaurants. Must shopping is on Las Olas Boulevard or Himmarshee in downtown.
Jan. 1, 2013 - at sea. Your first day at sea, the first day of a New Year, and your first full day of Larry and Jerry's bridge program.
Jan. 2, 2013 - Cozumel, Mexico. Cozumel’s duty free port is popular with the many tourists who visit each year. But Cozumel’s major claim to fame is the beautiful reef below the waters surrounding the island, now protected as Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park.
Jan. 3, 2013 - Puerto Costa Maya. Not a typical resort, this port is specifically designed to accommodate cruise ship passengers with relaxing seaside amenities, but is also a gateway to a treasure trove of Mayan ruins, ancient forts, and villages nestled in a lagoon-laced landscape.
Jan. 4, 2013 - at sea.
Jan. 5, 2013 - Puerto Limón, Costa Rica. Costa Rica has been a staunch advocate of conservation in its undeveloped areas and its tourist destinations for years. Puerto Limón is an excellent place for excursions to nearby nature preserves that allow the visitor rare exposure to virgin rain forests and bird sanctuaries.
Jan. 6, 2013 - Colón, Panama. As the world’s second largest duty-free port, Colón offers abundant shopping. It also represents the gateway to numerous sites of ecological interest, including Chagres National Park, a 3,000,000-acre rainforest preserve, and the Gamboa Rainforest Preserve, which lies within Soberania National Park.
Jan. 7, 2013 - Cartagena, Colombia. This historic port city is one of the most beautiful in all the Caribbean. 18th century walls and forts around the old town defended it against pirates who attacked Cartagena for the looted Indian treasure brought there to be shipped to Spain. Today it is pirate-free, full of greenery, flower-draped balconies, shops, plazas, and prosperous markets.
Jan. 8, 2013 - At sea.
Jan. 9, 2013 - George Town, Grand Cayman. Once a hideout for some of the most notorious pirates in history, Grand Cayman, the largest of the three Cayman Islands, is now host to visitors eager to experience snorkeling among the rays and observing sea turtles.
Jan. 10, 2013 - At sea.
Jan.11, 2013 - Disembark, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Prices include Bridge Program and Prepaid Gratuities
