The Itinerary

LA-Vancouver Sapphire PrincessMay 12, 2012 - Depart Los Angeles, CA. Spend a little time in the entertainment capital—Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills—or just enjoy the ethnic diversity the city has to offer.

May 13, 2013 - Santa Barbara, CA. Santa Barbara is a place where food, art, history, fashion, wine and sunshine mix to create a delightful experience for the visitor. Just out of town is the Santa Ynez Valley, home to world-renowned wineries. The beauty of the mountains, lush valleys and spreading oaks is matched by the wines produced in the area.

May 14, 2012 - San Francisco, CA. Cable cars, the Golden Gate rising from the fog—welcome to San Francisco, arguably the most romantic and cosmopolitan city in the United States. San Francisco has it all: a colorful history, superb restaurants, sophisticated museums, world-class shopping, and that elusive air of romance and abandon that's part of the tang of the city.

May 15, 2012 - Cruising the Pacific Ocean

May 16, 2012 - Astoria, OR.  Astoria began as a trading post for John Jacob Astor’s American Fur Company–the first permanent American settlement west of the Rockies. Within a 20 mile radius are dozens of exciting attractions including Fort Stevens State Park, Fort Astoria, Heritage Center Museum, and the Columbia River Maritime Museum, home to one of the nation’s finest displays of model ships and nautical artifacts–not to mention spectacular Victorian mansions.

seattle.jpgMay 17, 2012 - Seattle, WA.  Rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1889, Seattle has hosted two World’s Fairs and is the birthplace of two modern marvels, Boeing and Microsoft. The mild climate, spectacular mountain-and-sea surroundings and rich cultural diversity attract visitors from around the world. Towering in the distance is the peak of Mount Rainier, tallest volcanic peak in the lower 48.

May 18, 2012 - Victoria, BC.  Founded in the 1840s. Victoria takes its English heritage to heart. Red double-decker buses ply the streets and high tea is served every afternoon. The shopping has a strongly British flavor, as do the the gracefully imposing 19th C. buildings and the glorious flowers, in great parks and spilling from lamppost baskets. World-famous Butchart Gardens deserve their international reputation.

May 19, 2012 - Vancouver, BC. Starting as “Gastown” a funky stopover point for prospectors on the way to the Yukon gold fields, Vancouver has developed into a remarkably beautiful and cosomopolitan port city. The restored Gastown district and extensive Chinatown are well worth visiting, as are the glorious parks, including Stanley Park, a lush oasis in the heart of the city.
